Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions ("Agreement") set out the basis on which Ancestree provides document organising, family history workshop and heritage archiving services to clients. Please read them carefully. By making an enquiry, booking a service or using our website, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please do not proceed.

1. Definitions

• "Ancestree", "we", "us", "our" — the company operating at 35 Ratchadaphisek Road, Din Daeng, Bangkok 10400, Thailand.
• "Client", "you", "your" — any individual or family engaging our services or using our website.
• "Services" — the Document Organising Service, Family History Workshops and Heritage Archive Service described on our website.
• "Agreement" — these Terms and Conditions together with any service confirmation issued to you.
• "Materials" — documents, photographs, heirlooms or other items you provide for organising or archiving.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By submitting an enquiry or confirming a booking, you confirm that:

• You are at least 18 years of age
• You have the legal capacity to enter into an agreement
• Any information you provide is accurate to the best of your knowledge
• You have read and accept this Agreement in full

3. Description of Services

Ancestree offers three personal organisation and archiving services:

• Document Organising Service (฿3,800) — sorting, labelling and creating digital backups of personal and estate-related papers.
• Family History Workshops (฿14,200) — educational sessions on recording family stories, mapping a family tree and noting cherished belongings.
• Heritage Archive Service (฿32,500) — cataloguing and digitising heirlooms, photographs and documents into a personal archive.

All services are purely organisational or educational in nature. We do not provide legal, financial, tax or professional advice of any kind, and nothing within our services should be interpreted as such.

4. Your Responsibilities

• You will provide accurate information and, where relevant, make your Materials available to us in a safe and timely manner.
• You confirm that you have the right to share any Materials you provide and that doing so does not infringe any third-party rights.
• You will use our website and services only for lawful personal or family purposes.
• You will not attempt to misrepresent the nature of any documents or items presented to us.
• You will keep any workshop materials, digital outputs or organised file systems for personal use only and will not redistribute or commercialise them.

5. Intellectual Property

All original content on our website — including text, design, logos and templates — remains the property of Ancestree and may not be reproduced without our written permission.

Any Materials you provide remain your own property at all times. We handle them solely to carry out the agreed service and return or destroy them according to your instructions once the service is complete.

6. Payment Terms

• All prices are stated in Thai Baht (฿) and are inclusive of applicable taxes unless otherwise noted.
• Payment is due in full before work commences, unless a staged payment schedule has been agreed in writing.
• Accepted payment methods will be confirmed at the time of booking.
• Cancellation: if you cancel at least five working days before a confirmed appointment, we will refund the full amount paid. Cancellations with less than five working days' notice may be subject to a partial charge to cover preparation work already completed.
• Prices shown on our website are subject to change without notice; the price confirmed in your booking will apply.

7. Service-Specific Terms

Document Organising & Heritage Archiving: we will agree the scope of work with you before commencing. Changes to the scope once work has started may affect the timeline and fee. We will handle your Materials with care and return them to you in the condition received.

Family History Workshops: workshop content is educational and informational only. We will confirm the schedule, format and any materials needed in advance. Places are subject to availability.

Confidentiality: all information and Materials you share with us will be treated as confidential and used solely for the delivery of the agreed service.

8. Disclaimers

Our services are provided in good faith on an "as is" basis. We make no representations that the outcomes of our organisational or educational work will meet any specific personal or professional objective you may have.

Nothing in our workshops, archive outputs or organised documents constitutes legal, financial or other regulated professional advice. If you need advice of that nature, please seek an appropriately qualified professional.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Thai law, our total liability to you in connection with any service shall not exceed the amount you paid for that service.

We are not liable for indirect, consequential or incidental losses arising from your use of our services or website, including loss of data, loss of opportunity or damage to documents that were already in a fragile condition prior to our involvement.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify Ancestree and its team members against any claims, costs or liabilities arising from your breach of this Agreement, your misuse of our services or your provision of inaccurate information or Materials.

11. Termination

Either party may end the service arrangement at any time by giving written notice. In such cases:

• We will return your Materials promptly
• Fees for work already completed will be charged on a pro-rata basis
• Any outstanding refund will be processed within 14 working days

12. Dispute Resolution

This Agreement is governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Thailand. In the event of a disagreement, we ask that you contact us first at [email protected] so we can attempt to resolve the matter informally and in good faith.

If an informal resolution cannot be reached, disputes shall be referred to the competent courts in Bangkok, Thailand.

13. General Provisions

• Entire agreement: this Agreement, together with any written service confirmation, constitutes the full agreement between us.
• Severability: if any provision is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.
• Waiver: failure to enforce any right under this Agreement does not constitute a waiver of that right.
• Assignment: you may not assign your rights or obligations under this Agreement without our written consent.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions at any time. The revised version will be posted on this page with an updated date. If you have an active booking at the time of a material change, we will notify you directly. Continued use of our services after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms.
